But, just blindly spouting off the crap you guys spout off about vehicles and financing and buying used only is dumb.
Where have I posted anything about buying used? Only thing I have said is having a $1200 to $1500 car payment is insanity which it is.

Too bad there’s nobody making 45k and making 1200 truck payments

Nice hyperbole.

I'm not advocating for paying cash or financing a new vehicle. I'm saying BOTH are fricking stupid.
Literally here. You said you would not finance or pay cash for a new vehicle.

Nowhere have I told anyone to go and buy a used vehicle. I bought my car new and will drive it until it literally won't make it to the next stop light. That is what I am advocating for. I am not (and have not) told anyone to go and buy used vehicles over new
I haven't had a car payment since 2009 and when I had one is damn sure wasn't $1200 to $1500. That is what I am talking about.

If dude would’ve dropped 60k on a truck, he would’ve lost value(maybe not in todays market lol vs making a 1k payment 90 days later and keeping the 59k.

Probably not, in the last year.

I can't get past the first idiot. $2325 A MONTH for 2 new vehicles.
By itself, that debt service would pay (P&I and escrow) for a damned near $500k house. (ETA: AT LEAST $425k to $450k.)
For frick's sake...

$2500/month in car payments? I cannot even imagine.

Even at 0%?
Even assuming they didn’t screw you on the purchase price, you’ll still be buying an $80k piece of metal that will be worth about $30k in 5 years.
Hardly a sound “asset” investment.

I think the last dude (the dude that was asking everybody else, probably the sales manager or finance manager) was high of $1500 for just 1 car.

So you’ve still spent way way more than you needed to on cars. Congrats?

Yeah and his car may actually appreciate in value some day and he's probably been baking $300k+ the past 2 years

I have approximately a $500k house - my principle, interest and escrow were running about that before I paid it off.
