it was, indeed dude.
did the cop intend to shoot him in the HEAD? if so, that's incredible for multiple reasons. why aim there?

Because despite movie and tv fantasy shows, you never shoot to maim. If you’re going to use deadly force, you use deadly force.
I also don’t think he was aiming for the head but probably upper back and hit him in the head

That was some Walking Dead type accuracy on that head shot.

While he kicks the comatose body over to handcuff it.
I find that just as appalling as the guy shooting a kid running away. The guy dropped like a stone and there was zero attempt to render any aid, but rather treat him like roadkill.

gotcha. I think in hindsight the cop should have just shot his gun into the air... and went from there, depending on the suspects response to hearing the shot
I know if I hear any type of gun pop off, I'm falling to the ground asap

Center mass is all Ive ever heard. Not sure that I recall, ever, a case of a cop setting up and aiming at the head. Although Im sure it's perhaps happened in a hostage situation. But if you're really in fear for your life, not sure how you're able to set that shot up.

Shooting into the air now means a bullet is going somewhere that you really didn’t intend it to and could hit something you had zero intention of shooting. That’s why a lot of New Orleans East residents need new roofs after New Years.
Also, despite my disdain for your posts on the MSB, I don’t think you’re a criminal already running from the cops. I doubt that the guy would have dropped.
I think this cop used deadly force in a time it wasn’t warranted and he should face consequences for it.
I also think the race of both parties is irrelevant.

Yeah. I mean. Since he was a murder suspect, I'm not thrilled with the shoot, but, he did bring it in himself.
But once you drop him like a stone, I think you can at least ATTEMPT to save him from dying.
Cuffing him there was just fricking weird

That’s because you understand jackshit about the priorities of law enforcement.
Regardless of what happens before, cops have to secure a threat before rendering aid.

If you put yourself in this type of situation you should get whats coming regardless of race.

Aren’t leaving out the facts status quo? We focus simply on emotion right?
Daxston was a sweet boy, he was misunderstood. Cop didn’t have to shoot him.

No you shouldn’t. Cops are there to arrest and apprehend you. They are not judges, juries, and executioners.
If they can’t apprehend you and you pose no threat to them, they shouldn’t be allowed to kill you for running away

So he was not a murderer but killed because he was thought to be?

So at that point he was just a suspect but you want to give cops the right to shoot people because of something they might do? Great precedent.

Always weird to see cops handcuff a dead person.
I know it is procedure, but still weird.
