LORANGER, La. —
A woman accused as an accessory to a man convicted in the killings of a Loranger mother and her daughter has pleaded guilty in connection with the case.
Victoria Cox appeared in court by video Monday, when she accepted a plea deal.
She pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and attempted aggravated kidnapping of a child. Her two felony charges, first-degree murder and second-degree kidnapping charges, were dropped.
Cox was sentenced by a Tangipahoa Parish judge to 10 years for her obstruction of justice charge and 50 years for the kidnapping charge. Her sentence will run consecutively for a total of 60 years in prison.
Her Louisiana sentence will run at the same time as her sentence in Mississippi.
In Mississippi, Cox was sentenced in November 2025 to 40 years for murder and 25 years for kidnapping. Those sentences will run concurrently.
Cox is also required to register as a sex offender.
Cox and Daniel Callihan were arrested in 2024 after Erin Brunett and her sister were kidnapped from Loranger after their mother, Callie, was murdered.
Cox was arrested at a hotel in Jackson, not far from the crime scene on Boozier Drive.
Callihan pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for the killings of Callie Brunett and her youngest daughter, Erin in September 2025.
He was sentenced to two mandatory life sentences without parole. The sentences will run consecutively.
He had already pleaded guilty in federal court to similar crimes after admitting to killing Callie Brunett and abducting her daughter from their home in the summer of 2024.

I was thinking about this case the other day. That was a wild and sad thread. They should both hang.
