Not really. Just spoiled rotten and super sweet. Everybody loved her.

I miss her badly.

I had another one whobhurt his back and was paralyzed. Vet gave me muscle relaxers, pain meds, and anti inflammatories. He started moving his back legs after about a week. He went on to fully recover.

Then a year later, he had to get his teeth removed. Bad 2 years for him. Great dog as well.

Hopefully we don't jump to operation too quick

My cousin's husband is a large-animal vet. He says the best, most cost-effective treatment for small animals (cats/dogs) is a ball peen hammer.

Damn near as expensive because the patients aren't insured.

Pet insurance exists, people just don’t buy it.

It saved me thousands with my Great Dane.

Society has jumped the shark when we are sending dogs to specialists. Ridiculous. I blame Millennials.

I have a shi tzu who broke his back. Vet suggested the long nap for him. We found Dr. Larry and dr. Kim at jefferson animal clinic who do acupuncture on pets, and he has gone from paraplegic to walking with a limp. Give them a call!

That's much more than an MRI for a human

My wife brought a dashund into our marriage and it had a herniated disk. Went to Auburn, had the surgery. Wasn't too expensive, roughly $2000, but that was 15+ years ago.

Surgery went well, and the dog lived another 6 years pain free.

End of care life for dogs is just brutal in every sense. One dog I had was seemingly healthy at 10 but had a tumor growing on its spleen. One day he couldn’t walk, took him to the vet to discover the tumor and a ruptured spleen. And that was it.

It was would crushing, but in many ways a lot easier when there simply isn’t a choice to be made.

Best of luck.
