EDT: I responded to the wrong post.
People can be against criminals and cops abusing their power at the same time. They are not mutually exclusive.

I know an ex cop. Told me "If they make me run or drive dangerously to catch them, they are getting an arse beating 100% of the time."

He wasn't a cop when he told me this but it was his personal philosophy to law enforcement.

Yea, thats what I was saying. No one really gives a shite about the POS who got his arse beat. Its cops not following the law that pisses off people.

I would normally say "I bet he doesn't run from the cops again" but there will probably be law suit and it will be worth the arse whooping he took.

The man, who Nelson did not identify Friday, then used the car to ram two patrol cars, knocking down and injuring one deputy. With one patrol car disabled, the second deputy was able to get into the other damaged patrol car and start the pursuit.

“Then we start on a 38-minute chase that went from San Leandro, to Oakland, through the streets of Oakland, onto the freeway, over the Bay Bridge and through downtown San Francisco and finally onto Stevenson Street, where the man crashes his car and gets out and starts running,” Nelson said.

Nelson said the deputies that chase after him believed the man was armed, and investigators later recovered a gun. Nelson said he did not know if the gun was on the man when he was arrested, or elsewhere.

There were other people in the car with Rodney King.... guess what? They didn't get beat because they did as they were told.

Clear video of how dangerous it can be for police to chase down an armed, attempted murderer. Force was necessary to protect themselves and the public.

Wow, that camera must have a directional mic mounted to it. I have never heard such clear audio from such a distance. It is almost like everyone involved was wearing body mics synced to the footage.

That is the cops side of the story. I would like to see the full encounter to see if they're lying about what really occurred to cover themselves.

Fair enough and I fully agree but in some instances people get what they deserve and if the reports of what this guy was doing are accurate this is one of those instances.
