The edibles in this case resembled malted milk balls.

Sorry, but this was hardly punishment for eating malted milk balls. How old were these employees? Probably should be retired by now.

This was hotel housekeeping staff. Very good chance they were illegals. If they were, they probably spoke very little english and certainly couldn't read any labels. Easy to understand how this could happen. Lucky they didn't bring it home for their kids.

Edibles have gotten out of control

States need to follow Colorado’s example. Edibles are controlled here. On the recreational side, they have THC limits, and one edible bar or whatever, can have up to 100mg, and most of those are 100mg they have gummies, or bars with pieces (like a Hershey Bar) that are 10-20 Mg a piece in those 100mg edible packets. Then on the medical side, you have a various amounts, larger exceeding the Recretional side depending on you’re medical needs.

They do and most, if not all, have much lower limits.

Did they make an emergency stop at the vending machines?

Normal is relative. Oregon and WA don't allow much and they're mostly weak, believe it's 10 in WA and 20 in OR.

quote:

Oregon’s maximum THC concentration limit for recreational edibles is only half of what Washington allows. Oregon law currently sets the maximum concentration for recreational edibles at 5mg of THC per serving, and each package offered for sale must have no more than 50mg of THC in total. In contrast, Washington consumers can purchase edible products with 10mg per serving and 100mg per package.

That's why it makes more sense to eat small candies in WA and OR rather than cookies and brownies. You'd have to eat 4 large brownies to hit 40 mg in WA or you can eat 4 small candies.

For some reason it doesn't apply to drinks though. I've bought 100 mg sodas before.

The article says they were malted chocolate, you can smell the weed on it before eating. You will taste the weed while eating. Why would they eat malted choclate without a label on it?

I would have agreed with this a few years ago but since legalization legit food industry people have come in and fixed all that. I used to hate the taste of edibles but now I rarely detect any weed taste.

All seems a bit confusing and it all runs together when you buy in both states.

Only edible that works for me is the Squibs sold in Oregon. 20 mg package. I eat 3/4 of it and I'm good for 3 hours. I'd really like to get my hands on the 100 mg med Squibs. Same price but 5 times stronger.

Eta.... anything else I've tried hardly does anything and I've tried multiple items and end up eating 40 mg for just a slight body change.

Try the Fat Panda brand candy. Only 10 mgs a piece but I pop 3 of those and I'm good. They also taste good, especially the cotton candy flavor. Around 20 bucks for 10.

I don't want to say operator error but prices in OR are much cheaper than WA overall. Some places are still gouging but cheap pot is fairly abundant.

This was at 9pm on 4/20. All the prices were outrageous. I definitely got gouged.

The irritating thing was that I was still in WA in the morning and the local stores were having insane deals like $15 eighths and $25 quarters and I didn't buy any because I figured the shops in OR would be doing the same thing. Nope. Plus the lines were out the door that night in OR.(this was Blooming Deals in Beaverton, btw).

and according to Leafly the prices are pretty much the same.

I know that place well, great stuff but they are 1 store in a big area. It's like the owner has connections. It's very weird how they have little competition.

Good to know, wife is bringing me back a pack from seattle, its mango I believe.

Sucks theyve started regulating everything to 100. Need a medical card for higher dosed stuff. I start feeling good at about 30-40, but like about 70 for shows.
