I don't think you even know what you are arguing. Are you arguing that the Democrats pitching things like free college or medicare for all is a figment of our imagination? That the Green New Deal hasn't been endorsed by a host of their candidates? That "moderates" like Beto have advocated for abolishing the electoral college and refuse to answer about late term abortion?

I never confused the party for being the same as 2004.
If everyone is shouting the same platform, I think the younger crop is a more charismatic sell and will outperform. Biden vs Bernie is a no brainier for the younger people too.

I'm not saying that at all. What I am saying is that certain elements in the media (both right and left leaning) have amplified the magnitude of statements made by people who in the long run will not do much besides talk
Bernie had the perfect set up to become the democratic nomination yet he didn't win. Why? Because while I may disagree with their beliefs/priorities, most democratic voters still had enough sense to see Bernie's philosophies as absurd.

I pray to live long enough to see a viable third party emerge in American politics
