So let me ask you, had that ordeal never happened, would you be Baptist today?

Yes, but unfortunately not likely.

Might have to settle for a based Patriarch or Metropolitan.

The only people who are upset by this are dudes who literally frick children.
Odd there are 20-40 posters here who seem to be down voting every post pointing this out.
Does the OT have a pedo problem too?

Not necessarily. I was just listening to something yesterday that directly talked about how it wasn’t until shockingly recent that the pope got the power he did. Certainly well into the Middle Ages.

I’m Catholic and am not upset by this news.

Maybe focus more on trans shite and hiding pedophiles in the ranks, seems to make the world a better place huh?
Am I reading this correctly? You think people focus too much on pedophiles?
IMO that is one of, if not the worst crime someone can commit. I can't even comprehend doing something like that so anyone who goes as far as committing that act is a sick mother fricker and in any position that has access to kids, there is a chance there is one roaming around. This is a weird comment to make.

going toe to toe with these Philistines

When they announced he was better yesterday, after he was "very critical" the day before I thought he might die today. Many patients get better just before they die.

I just want to see how they do that magical smoke thing.
Maybe try to change it up and put a chick in there?
Hang in there, GRT... Maybe I'll boil some eggs tonight.

The Pope is nothing more than a celebratory figure. He has nothing on the true King of Kings.

especially contextualized with the fact that it was a position used for corruption and power for hundreds of years and really had nothing to do with leading people to the Word of God.
BTW, I'm Baptist.
I've studied the position starting from Peter all the way up to today.

The whole idea that Peter put himself between man and Christ goes against his own life experiences.
The whole assumption of one passage to create a religion is a bit odd to me.
With that said, catholic charities do a lot of good around where I live.
