My insurance covered my vasectomy at 100%. All I had to pay was $50 for the option to go under anesthesia.

Easiest decision I ever made

Recovery was easy. You're 60% in 3 days, 75% in 5, 100% in 7

They give you a prescription for Valium so there’s that. But if a out patient procedure scares you then maybe your not scared of procreation yet.
My second kid was so bad and cried so much as an infant that when the Dr asked me if I was certain I wanted it done I replied. “ doc if you won’t or don’t do it I’m gonna get a fifth of jack and my pocket knife and do it myself”!!

Why would anyone put themselves through that when their wife can just take a pill everyday.

There are complications the pill can cause women, especially as they age.

For some people yes...
I wasn’t 100% for months. Heard similar stories.

ADVICE:

If your wife continues taking birth control pills after you've been snipped - you may have a problem.

I had the non invasive about 8 years ago. Balls didn’t swell or turn color. Felt a slight fighting down there for about a day. Have 4 kids and that was enough. Been shooting blanks ever since.

That's why you send in a specimen once a year and they check it for sperm cells. But let's be honest, your anecdotal case is such a rarity.
