Beautiful work as always!

I have learned to hate these things in WarThunder. They are darned hard to knock out from the front for most of their opponents at the same level.

I use to play WoT but got frustrated with it because I tried to fight my tank the way I trained and fought as a tanker in the real world. But that’s not how the fam works so I ended up mostly as arty. I made it to tier IX in the German and American lines. I kids fell out of it a few years ago, but I’m thinking I’ll get back into it when I retire in a few years and have more free time on my hands.

Very nice work.

Do you keep all of these on display? Sell them?

As many as you have posted here you should have a lot!

From what I understand of WoT vs WarThunder, the latter is the more realistic of the two, with more physics applied to the models. WoT - as I understand it - is more or less hit point-based. WT uses more of a physics approach, considering armor thickness, impact angles, etc. In realistic battle mode, I suspect a lot of your training would pay off.

TIFWIW - I have never played WoT. Being semi-retired, I have more time to play than I probably should!

I put a lot of hours into war thunder a few years back. I play on Xbox and it’s more suited for a computer vs the Xbox controller.

Need to get back into it. I was pretty high on the German and American levels. I played with the Tiger 2 a lot but it had that major weak spot on the mantlet and you get 1 shotted by the higher BR Cold War tanks you had to play against. I think the sweet spot was the Tiger 1

I don't understand the numerous downvotes on your threads.
I enjoy these model-building threads a lot.
What's the deal, people?

Was it meant more HE against human flesh and fragmentation, was it meant to work like a mobile mortar, or masonry softener for things like concrete pillboxes.

From what I understand, it was primarily used to reduce buildings during urban combat or field fortifications. It’s 15 cm howitzer was ideal for these roles, but its low muzzle velocity made it rather useless against tanks. But this fact didn’t stop the Germans for assigning the first Brummbär unit, Sturmpanzer-Abteilung 216, to Schwere Panzerjäger Regiment 656 during Operation Zitadelle. There is not much information on its performance during the Battle of Kursk, but I have to image that, even though attached to an anti-tank regiment, it was still employed mostly against Soviet field fortifications instead of armor.

Great work as always.
I struggle with the tracks on these types of models. Yours look excellent.
