It’s always boggled my mind the Germans never gasped the concept of the strategic bomber.

Read the Nuremberg Trials. Goering goes into in depth detail about the turf wars between the German Aristocracy and the industrial production. German royalty were ripping off the air force for self enrichment.

Nothing changes.

It’s one of the most breathtakingly stupid moves in human history.

Thanks! It’s not often. But I have. Last time it happened was on a Russian pre-dreadnaught. It was an abomination of a kit. Nothing fit and it looked like dog shite. Ended up tossing the whole thing midway though.

Thanks! And I have built a Ju-88. I think it wax about 15-20 years ago when I built this one.

I have another one in my stash that I’ll get around to building at some point.

I remember reading about a captured JU-88 and the high praise it got from American pilots who evaluated it.

They reported it a a great flying plane that handled extremely well.

The Germans also used the 88 as a night fighter as well.

The weathering behind the engines is a subtle, but nice touch.

I am sure there is a better word than weathering, but my brain can't seem to find it.

No. But I’d like to. I might have one in my stash. I’d have to look.

Nice work as always! Not a fan of 1/72nd. scale , but I know if you want to build some of the bigger stuff , you don't have a choice unless you have a lot of space for a 1/48th scale HE-111.

Currently working on a Rye Fiield Model 1/35th British Challenger II TES main battle tank.
