Thanks. I’m glad you like them. As for average time, that varies. Some kits, like the Falco, did not take but maybe a total of 10-12 hours total. Other kits like the SU-152 and Königstiger can take up to probably 40+ hours.

Thanks. I was really wanting to finish the Sd.kfz 251 Ausf C German halftrack before the end of the year. But the wife wanted us to go galavanting yesterday and today I’ll be watching the bowl games. I should hopefully finish it tomorrow.

Not sure if anyone makes this model set but I would love to see this aircraft assembled....even if a scale model.

Spotted this in the restoration area of the Smithsonian out at Dulles. According to the volunteer, he had no knowledge of any plans to put the wings(not pictured but were stacked to the side) on the aircraft....and even if they did it would be several years. They're putting a lot of resources into restoring the B25 Flakbait

You've got some serious patience , I say this as I'm chasing my 3 year old grandson down the sidewalk . He just looks back at me and says paw paw that's a bad word .

That’s the Horten GO229. There is a kit made by Revell…

Bad thing though is most Revell kits are terrible. They’re notorious for poor fit, rape ton their aircraft kits.

Don’t know if it’s my age, but the last pic doesn’t interest me as much as the others.

It does take a good deal of patience. The kit I have on my desk now is a prime example. If you look at the tracks, not only are those individual track shoes that have to be assembled, each link is made up of three pieces. And you have to glue them precisely so they will be flexible enough to install the tracks onto the vehicle. I spent a solid day on just those tracks.

But that’s one of the things I love about building models. When I’m working on a model, I concentrate on what I’m doing. I don’t think about or worry about anything else. I’ll listen to Spotify or a podcast. But other than that, my Fuchs is entirely on the model. It’s very relaxing.

Holy shite, the weathering on some is awesome. I know it’s probably been explained, But how do you actually do the weathering? Time consuming? It makes it looks so real. I’ve seen a thousand models done as is. But few with the realistic weathered look.

What is the average build time involved?

Do you do all the paint work as well?

It’s very hit and miss with Revell. Some of their kits are absolute garbage. The USS Missouri sold at Hobby Lobby is a prime example. Other kits are really not all that bad. I built this Revell 1/48 scale Ilyushin IL-2 a few years ago and it was a pretty good build.

I’ve heard that Revell kits made in Germany are far better than those made elsewhere.
