Actually the first thing they would do is sell off parts of their fleet and have less flights. Reducing O&M expenditures would have a much greater effect on the bottom line than raising ticket prices.

They already did alot of this due to COVID

And they will do more as it would have a much greater effect if necessary. What board rooms of multi million dollar companies have you been btw?

At some point, it's counter productive as there would be so few planes in the air the ticket prices would have to go up concurrently to keep the cash flow

At the risk of being doxxed - I was in several from 2008-2011. There are people on this board who know me IRL...

I would venture to say that many, if not most, want you to take it because they would never admit they might be wrong about this.

If I went back two years and started a thread on this board saying you will have to get a vaccine to function in society, this board would have lost its mind.

Instead, many took the vaccine and now their position is compromised by the fact that they took it.

Objectivity is lost.

There is so much truth in this post.

My official position has always been older and compromised people should probably take the vaccine. I tried convincing my grandmother to take it. Why? Because the stats and the science seemed to indicate this was a reasonable response.

When people started telling me I needed to be vaxxed I thought they were joking as there is no reason for me to be vaxxed as I am younger, fit, and already had COVID.

But the wailing continued - "the unvaxxed are evil!"

That's when I started realizing something is really off about this.

Yea, I tried looking up what "other purposes" is. Either I can't find it, or it's undefined and broad in scope.

We live in a socially engineered society, not a free society. We are running toward totalitarianism.

Makes sense. So, we will be left with what, 3 airlines when all is said and done? Companies closing offices left and right, and embracing Teams etc, business travel will never recover. I'm sure airlines will love the concept of limiting passengers even more because of this.

I'm not saying it won't happen, but I can't believe any CEO worth their salt would endorse it.

Up next: Scan your vaccine QR code to buy gas for your personal car?

They are eroding freedoms under the guise of public health and safety much as they did with the Patriot Act and morons like you are not only falling for it but cheering it on.

I remember when they started mandating uniforms in public schools in my area. It was done under the guise it was to make poor kids not feel so poor as if you wouldn't still be able to tell by things like shoes, jackets, brands of khakis, etc.

It was passed in 2000 2 years after I had graduated HS but I remember a friend and me discussing that the premise was ridiculous and it was really about more confirmity.

Schools and colleges are indoctrination facilities and have now raised generations of conformists that will do what they are told.
