You heard it here first guys, local cops had to look out for #1 first, can’t be putting their lives on the line if a scary gunman might shoot them. Better to retreat and wait for “professionals” to handle the job instead

Bro, this shite is just gonna make everyone want to carry heat. If you can’t count on police to do their jobs when children are being summarily slaughtered, there is no other option but to look out for you and yours.
And yeah, it’s a valid question what 40% of the city budget, 500k annually in state money, military grade weapons out the arse are for if they won’t even fricking do their jobs when it matters most. Maybe take that money and arm citizens or teachers, like the one that actually sacrificed her life to save her class

I mean shrink the government and eliminating gun laws is up my alley so reducing the police budget and restricting gun laws is something I can align myself with.

Cops and Firemen were always seen as heroes growing up. The people who rescued those in danger. The people who kept your neighborhood safe, who served justice on criminals and sacrificed their bodies in dangerous situations for the greater good. This is why I always supported the police.
They failed to do that here. If they aren’t going to be the hero in these situations, if they lack the courage to face a gunman murdering innocent children then they are a disgrace to the uniform. They are a disgrace to the community. They deserve no respect if they are simply there to write traffic tickets and write reports after the fact.
