Quality beach towels are larger, thinner, and have two differently designed sides. One to lay on the ground and one to lay on/dry off with. They also don't get soaked and heavy like bath towels because they're designed to wick moisture instead of absorbing it.

A towel is a towel, baw.

Just because it doesn't have little mermaid on it like yours doesn't mean it's not a moisture absorbing towel.
