The new kia telluride is nice though.

Another problem I see here which you stated. It may be nice for 24 - 48 hours or until the legos start to come loose.

At least another used car salesman outed himself in this travesty, you did the world a favor OP.

Never trust Carfax. It's like 75% accurate on avg. When you buy a used car you need to go old school, and get a mechanic to check it out.

There was an accident in dallas not to long ago where Progressive Ins did some shady things (cant find an article at the moment for specifics). Anyway iirc the veh (think it was a bmw) was in an accident, and it was resold w/o airbags in it. Killed the girl driving.

Anyway, didnt catch much wind cause she was a rich-ish white girl that had major drug issues.

Ah yea, because the media hates to run stories about rich white girls.

Yes, yes that’s what I do for a living you’re so correct. Your cowbell has damaged your brain.

Accidents don't have to be reported to Carfax.

You only took a hit if you were dumb enough to take a hit.

Edit: If they edited the original carfax and presented it as true, that is fraud.

If the second dealer did a proper trade evaluation and spotted it had been in an accident, then good on them for doing their jobs.

Having said that, it isn't overly difficult to spot the handiwork of different body men on a vehicle.

I'll tell you I had a dealer edit an invoice when I was trying to buy one with our companies xplan.

He didn't know I had a copy of the original from two months earlier when I went in and looked at it

... rebates change from month to month hell they can change from week-to-week. Just because you were given a price one month doesn't mean that price is valid the next.

I hate car dealers as much as the next guy but y'all really need to understand the process.

You were going to take a huge hit anyway. NEVER TRADE A CAR IN (unless you don’t mind throwing money away). Always sell it out right. Do an in and out, if you can. Did it with my last car and ended up $2,100.00 to the good over what the dealership offered.

Guess I'm not seeing where Progressive was in the wrong here. They don't actually fix the car and certainly don't check to see if the shop sold the airbags out of it.

Reminds me of the Sopranos episode where the guy asked why the bags didn't go off. Well, because he sold them for big money.

This, plus the car was bought in Nov -- five months ago. Can't be mu h worried about money if trading cars so frequently.
