It is possible to love country and take issue with the president. If the USWNT accepts an invite to Capitol Hill, they would be honoring America as much as visiting the White House. Both are coequal branches of government as delegated by the constitution. Recognizing the constitution instead of mistaking pageantry for patriotism is a key aspect of American democracy.
Oh frick off with your virtue signaling. I took issue with damn near everything Obama did, but you're damn skippy I'd jump at the chance to hang with him in the Whitehouse.
To ignore Trump's invite and take Pelosi/Schumer's is nothing but petty partisan bullshite.

You would think Trump fans would accept the fact he’s hated amongst most athletes. This should not be a surprise to anyone.
You need to get some help.

I'd probably decline an invite from all 3, TBH.

Fair enough. At least you're being consistent.

Hardly a melt. I would suggest that she try these actions in Saudi Arabia or North Korea. I know your schtick. Anybody who says anything negative towards a lefty you scream that it's a melt or whatever. Why don't you follow said soccer player to those countries and white knight for her. I'd enjoy the video.

Didn’t they publicly state they accept invites from the speaker of house and the Senate minority leader. Kind of seems to be about party politics not about country. Unless Mitch and Pence are part of it in Senate it’s not technically an equal branch. Are they opposed to photo ops with Kavanaugh if they visit Supreme Court?
Regardless you could use your same reasoning towards Megan except she was showing a lot of disregard to country before Trump’s tweet and her blaming her actions on Trump. She just started by copycatting Kap claiming BLM well after the fact and later added other victim groups and was correctly called out for doing it while making a choice to play for the USA national team. She then complained when they started keeping players in during anthem to avoid focus being on her kneeling as she wanted to do it & be seen doing it on biggest public stage her profession gets. She seems to get off on the attention and drama. Male players doing the same used to be called something that’s probably banned now.
She was also gesturing to other player to just drop the flag to pose for photo in the manner Megan wanted and when she wanted it. From beginning to end she was disrespectful towards country. You can’t force love of country but you can expect members of team USA to show same respect they show other countries with just as many past issues as ours.
But I guess it’s just about the gay sports science for her not anything political.

Apparently reading comprehension isn't your strongest asset. I was saying if she were to go to a country like Saudi Arabia (or even North Korea and a few other countries) and she disrespects the government and also gets hostile (such as she does in interviews and such she would be brutally raped and beaten in one area of the world and/ or imprisoned to hard labor. North Korea would possibly even sentence her parents (if they are still alive) and if they are not then it would likely be any elder relative would serve time.
The women who are 'standing up for equality' in America today have very minimal ramifications for doing so. They aren't brave nor are they really fighting for 'rights'. It has been explained to death why they get paid to do so.
If these women really care about 'equal rights' then I say put your money where your mouth is and go fight for women's rights worldwide. Middle East. Hell even in Japan women are seen more as property than a spouse.

Proves my point.
Someone has an opinion and you want them to moved to another country.

Good. I'm glad we agree that the guy I was replying to was displaying obvious selective outrage and virtue signaling.

Did any athletes that won a title for the US skip out on Obama? Genuinely curious; didn’t see any in the article posted earlier.
