Eh, it's better than getting banned or your post buried like you will in most other political forums. At least you can voice an opposing opinion.

The poliboard is no different than tRant or the OT in that there is a massive amount of driveby thoughtless posts that aren't worthy of a reply. Hidden among all of that is an occasionally good discussion. If you spend enough time there you will learn which posters to start paying attention to and which ones aren't worth your time. Just like this board.

I'm aware of the shadowbanning complaints, but a column from Quillette isn't going to sway me that it is as rampant as many conservatives claim it to be.

Unless it's derogatory towards LSU.

But yes, TD as a whole has a lot more freedom than places like Reddit.

Absolutely not. If its logically debated, fine. But most of the time its not.

I'd also contend there are leftists that are equally guilt.

I'm actually a GOP-leaning person, but when the GOP is now considered a bunch of liberals, its over.

Trump had the menu read:

"Tube Steak, smothered in underwear"

Fug'em.

What is the ethnic breakdown of these sample municipalities:

Most people, regardless of where they live, have little meaningless dialogue with people that have any political views different than theirs.

In fact, smaller towns with hispanics, blacks and whites probably intermingle more

Do you expect people to take you seriously when you start your argument by calling them bumpkins and insulting where they live?

Pres. Trump should totally invite the 15U FC Dallas boys team who beat them 5-2 to the White House!

Thing is, I grew up in Podunk LA (I didn't call anyone bumpkins) and regularly speak with them. Their views are sadly close-minded and based on straight up DT/Fox News. And, many are educated professionals and good people, yet that part of their intellect is primitive.....i'm trying to pull up short of calling them bigots when they think the way they do.

I could dictate actual conversations......my read is based on my actual experience. It's been very disheartening to listen to many of the people I grew up admiring.

Because someone disagrees with you doesn’t make them close minded. Living in a big city doesn’t mean you don’t live in a bubble.

What exactly is close-minded about their views?
