this is the plane. Its a 2014 model, just placed in service in April

It has a 1500 mile range.
That means Cuba is just inside his range the plane will likely start to stall and crash within the hour.

Abcnews just reported that the f-15s broke off when it crossed over Cuba. The plane back is over international waters but no-one picked them up.

damn that's a high end plane there.
I DO NOT GET how we have som many Hypoxia cases.
I have never flown a pressurized plane, but I still had a small oxygen sensor in the plane.
If I'm flying over 13,000 feet, I'm keeping that thing on.

It is now facing north is is stalling for sure. Auto pilot probably disconnected when it got below stall airspeed.

i know its obviously freezing in the cabin with teh windows and what not, but is it a peaceful way to go, or when you suffer lack of oxygen and suffocate is it painful and gruesome?

From what I understand you basically just pass out.
Posted on 9/5/14 at 1:25 pm to Napoleon
that's like a $2m plane.
Shame we have no way of getting a person from one plane to another.
Could save it and land it.
Plus people on board could just be unconscious not dead yet.

Sleepy Time. If they realized what was going on, they would drop to a safe altitude.

Cuba sent a fighter up to follow it. NY Daily reported.

Kurt Russell did it.

Plane has a ceiling of 31,000ft. So for a long flint New York to Florida it will fly with a high cruize altitude. Saves them a couple of hours.

Surprises me a plane has no feature to sense that this is happening automatically.
Hell the FAA is so hard on GA as it is, I would hate to see more rule changes, but this kind of stuff is just sad.
If they would just drop to class A airspace all would be fine.
