My insurance is going up 30% for my next 6-month term coming up.
Edit: no claims on current car. No tickets. Nothing.
Same here (State Farm). I called my agent, which is a good friend and have been with him for years, and asked what was going on. Aside from the Plaintiff Atty stuff that has been going on for years, he said the cost to fix cars has gone up substantially. He also mentioned the time to fix cars (see the Brian Harris BMW backlog thread) has increased substantially so if you get in a wreck and they have to provide a "free" rental, the rental costs to them have increased.
He was not making excuses as all his customers are pissed, but was simply stating why things went up.

You can thank that piece of shite who acts like he is a sponsor for LSU. The university should get away from Gordon...why they want anything to do with him is beyond me. There are respectable people in Louisiana with way deeper pockets than that leech.

because it has no meaning
how can you base comparisons on a term with no static parameter's
Especially when states have different liability limits

You are wrong, because most of the legislators are lawyers that look out for themselves and their friends. Ipso facto, we can blame the lawyers.

Nothing short of a massive scam throughout the entire insurance industry. It is organized theft of the People with corrupt politicians getting kickbacks to do whatever Corporations want. Homeowners and Medical are also huge cesspools.

The #1 reason we have such high insurance rates is the judges. They are almost all former plaintiff attorneys. They routinely award tens of thousands to people who have a scratch on their bumper. There is no way to fight injury fraud in LA. Judges in LA will not allow biomechanical experts to testify, they award $2-4K per month for just a couple of visits to a chiropractor, thus making the insurance companies pay higher settlements with much higher frequency than compared to other states. Recent laws getting rid of collateral source and allowing jury trial for anything over 10K will help a bit, but there is still more tort reform needed

Call your insurance company.
Mine edged up from about $2000 to $2800 over the course of 5 years. I got quotes from others so it was always higher, so I stayed.
Last year got a $300 increase (this is for 3 vehicles) and I called. The lady looked at my policy, requoted it, and reduced it from $2800 to $1900 without changing coverages. She said it just needed to be updated on their end to get new pricing. This was Liberty Mutual.

Wrong. Louisiana isn't even in the top 10.

Bingo! And we have more ignorant and road raging idiots on the street than anywhere else in the country.
And no, I'm not a supporter of the trial lawyers and don't try and spin it that they aren't a problem as well.

But yet people thing Gordon is a good dude because he gives money to LSU.
People don’t understand how many people will have to get hurt to pay for all of those Jell-O shots.

Yep. I can vouch for this.
Even the most basic body work cost thousands if you get into a minor accident.

Could not agree more. State court judges, funded by the Plaintiffs' bar, allow the shenanigans to continue. Plaintiff lawyers would not be as unbearable if judges held them in check.

No
I doubt Mississippi and Alabama drivers are much different
Yet their premiums are 25-50% less

1,000 times THIS. When a larger number of people are not controbuting to the insurance pool of spreading the risk, then the premiums for everyone else must rise to insure the pool is adequately funded.

Oklahoma doesn't have vehicle inspections. If you can rolling on the road and have a plate on it, it's legal. Also no licensing trailers, so you see some homemade rigged up jalopy cars and trailers.
And still pretty low rates.
