yep, i still tell them this even though they are adults. It doesn't hurt any less just because you have the right of way.

I read comments

Apparently the bus didn’t have lights on or stop sign out ... which leads me to believe it’s bus driver at fault here not ups guy

I still put fault on the UPS guy. If I see a school bus not moving, I'm going to err on the side of not potentially running over some kids and make damn sure no one is coming around the front of the bus. Most people can't be bothered though, their time is just too important

He will sort for 90 days and be back for peak. They don’t fire guys for stuff like this. Had a buddy who had an at fault wreck in is package car. Got sent back to sort and is almost finished with probation.

You got that from comments? The bus has video and the reporter was standing next to what was presumably the bus showing the cameras and stop signs.

No chance this bus in operation would have no lights or signs out

UPS drivers are union, he ain't getting fired for "almost" hitting some kids.

I predict a stern talking to is in his future.

2. If she has car mom should pick kids up at school instead of waiting at school bus stop.

Not everywhere has “those kids” on the school bus like we do

I dont think the UPS driver was wrong, if the Stop sign flap was not out then it is okay for the UPS driver to go. The bus look like it was parked on the side of the road. Heck I think most yellow buses now a days even have a stick that extend out so that people would know to stop.

Mr. Bullock did state he passed the stop arm on the school bus," the affidavit read. "Mr. Bullock advised he felt sick from the incident because had been driving for 34 years and he had never done this before."

This thread devolving into a debate about the stop arm being extended is the most OT thing ever.

I didn't see stop lights on bus or any fishing lights. If bus didn't have any lights flashing that's on bus driver.
