Religious or not it can still be a club.

This means the school cannot discriminate against any students conducting such meetings “on the basis of the religious, political, philosophical, or other content of the speech at such meetings.” This language was used to make clear that religious speech was to receive equal treatment, not preferred treatment.
Religious is just one of the categories, it doesn't have to fit all of them.

Satan club” is just another term for a bunch of edgy dumbass leftists who want to rebel against mainstream Western culture
The first amendment is now" leftist"?
Are abortion rights a leftist cause, yes or no?
Because Reason Alliance sponsors the After School Satan Clubs. Explain it to us, counselor.
Oops, your gotcha failed again

No deities.
You don't need gods for a church/religion.
Hundreds of millions of Buddhists are considered part of a religion and they're atheists. OG Taoists, too. There are lots of other non-Western religions that don't really worship gods, and countless spinoffs (especially of Hinduism).
Its funny watching these people lose their minds when faced with something they don't agree with.
Normal people can adopt a live and let live approach, but when you are self-"righteous" everyone has to conform to your ideas of what religion is and what is right.

So it’s literally a club for irl trolls? No wonder the board trolls support this.

according to the IRS/government, it is recognized as one. now we all know it's bullshite but they have rights just as any other religion recognized by the government.
the christians wanting church and state together only want THEIR beliefs recognized. they want freedom of religion but not all religions. just theirs. that's not how it works.

The ASSC is a federally recognized nonprofit organization and national after-school program with local chapters across the US. The club is associated with the Satanic Temple, though it claims it is secular and “promotes self-directed education by supporting the intellectual and creative interests of students”.
By its own admission the so-called “Satanic Temple” doesn’t even believe in Satan so they’re not an actual religion. Rather they exist solely to mock Christianity. Thus they should hold none of the legal protections guaranteed to religious organizations. These people are nothing more than trollish fools, playing with powers their feeble minds are incapable of understanding.

Maybe mocking Christianity is their religion? Who are you to say that's any less valid than any other religion?
It seems their core belief is that religion should not be practiced in schools

Edgy try-hards making a point about "It's my first amendment right to have a Christian club in a public school". The point totally goes over the heads of their intended targets.
Par for the course for both groups.

Sounds you would be ok with an after school Muslim club that promotes Allah. It’s a “real” religion after all.

The legal protection they are exercising isn't specific to religious groups anyway. This means the school cannot discriminate against any students conducting such meetings “on the basis of the religious, political, philosophical, or other content of the speech at such meetings.
Pretty sure everything fits under "other content"

So call it the Free Will Club, although folks might think it’s about Will Smith
