Shouldnt this guy be past the point of a name tag? Its kind of hard to look badass with a name tag that looks like you just came from a speed dating meet up

If it doesn't belong to you. Give it back. Why is that so hard?

Is this "gauranteed" or estimated. And shite happens. Was this guy in flooded out Houston? Who knows.

You think Amazon ever sends out estimated delivery days of 1 day?

Don't be obtuse in order to prove a point. We all know Amazon regularly guarantees delivery dates and frequently misses them. It's not on the consumer to know what caused the delay.

Obviously didn't read the link I posted above

Nothing is "guaranteed" like you think. There could be many reasons it wasn't delivered on time

Or just keep encouraging the OP to act like an arse inorder to get free shite and eventually that will be a $10 watch battery for everyone

It's the same reason we pay so much for car insurance. Everyone is looking for a handout for minor inconveniences and everyday accidents

I actually did read your link. When I came across this section I thought to myself, wtf this only proves my point more

, as Amazon states, "If we provide a guaranteed delivery date on the checkout page, your shipping fees may be refunded if we miss our promised delivery date."

quote:

But how does the policy change apply to Prime members? They used to be eligible for a free 1-month Prime extension, and they already get free shipping in most cases. DealNews readers say Amazon has told them they could receive between $5 and $10 in promotional credit now, depending on the value of the items that arrive late.

Calling and bitching them out sounds like more hassle than just sending the batteries back.

Sounds like you just want to keep the $8 batteries you didn't pay for.

Yet you conveniently left out the most crucial part that I quoted for you

quote:

Amazon also notes the guarantee isn't valid when situations arise that are beyond its control. It states that "delivery scans might be inaccurate," as well — which could theoretically absolve Amazon of any blame in many cases.

quote:

Importantly, Amazon 2-day shipping could also take longer than you'd think. Most customers assume the clock starts as soon as they place an order, but that's not true. In fact, Amazon notes that if items aren't in stock or otherwise immediately available, the 2-day period doesn't start until the items actually ship. Case in point: User dmiles521 was told that if an item was in stock and Prime eligible, and shipped a week after the order date, as long as it arrived within two business days, it would still count as meeting the 2-day shipping guarantee. Meaning it wouldn't be eligible for a refund.

It should also be noted that a few months ago I ordered a small vacuum ($36 value) from Black and Decker. They accidentally sent two, I called offering to return it and they told me instead to donate it to someone in need. So, this $8 battery b.s. is especially laughable.

I got two very large mirrors from Ikea, and they told me to keep the second. Very surprised.

I´ve also received boots which fit not perfectly, and the manufacturer told me to keep them, and refunded the money paid. Very surprising. A large, well known fashion brand, by the way.

It´s very random.

Tell them via Amazon that you´ll return them, if they´ll waive three months of Prime fee. See how they react.

You said:

Do you realize Amazon uses the term "guaranteed delivery date" in the checkout process? If Amazon guarantees a delivery date and doesn't make it, they should be held accountable.

Your problem is you don't understand the rules. You think that every time a package is late someone owes you something just because you heard about someone getting a credit for a late package. It's not always the case.

The first part is too vague to prove any point. Anything could be construed as outside Amazon's control. Deceptive practice if Amazon tries to use that excuse for most late shipments.

The second doesn't apply to this case because Amazon already guaranteed the delivery date.

They make the "guarantee", they can make the rules. It's a convenience, not a law. Show me where you have a contract saying Amazon has to deliver something on time or they owe you something in return.

It was a courtesy gesture from a company that started with strong customer support but like most things gets taken advantage of by jackasses like the OP over an $8 watch battery. So then they have to make exceptions

This is a small, but notable inconvenience and I think it's STUPID that a billion dollar company needs their $8 batteries back, especially when the mistake was theirs. And frankly, I don't want to be bothered. WWTOTD?

If I had something that didn't belong to me that the owner wanted back and paid for me to send it back to them already, I'd send it back, regardless of whether the owner had billions of dollars or five. The amount of possessions they have does not make something that isn't mine anymore mine.

It is an inconvenience, but the batteries may be sold by a small business that participates with Amazon.

Return the batteries. The employee that made the error is hoping you will. It is the right thing to do.

So unless you are willing to pay for theme, you should not steal these from Amazon.

I'm sure you are a Republican and don't like paying for slackers receiving benefits from your dime. If you don't pay, then your are the SAME as people that exist living from city/state/federal benefits off of our money.

The "not worth a return" money is baked into the $$ that people that pay their bill get stuck with.

You are an a-hole.

I think the worst part of this entire shitty story is that you complained that it took 3 days instead of one for some damn batteries to get shipped to you

For fricks sake

It has been established for many years that that is not why we pay higher car insurance. Those with insurance pay more because there are roving hordes of people who refuse to get insurance.
