You’re a damn good dude. Been following this thread since Sunday and today’s update was terrible to read. Pulling for the remaining pup. Prayers sent.

AHM today's update is AWESOME!!! It's at the very top of the original post. Go check it out!

I just saw it and it is awesome. I lost a dog to parvo and watching him die without being able to save him was miserable. He went down and died right before Christmas with me on the floor holding him.
Really happy to see she’s showing signs of improvement.

TD - gotta tip my cap to you. You're a stand up guy taking in these pups, getting some of them to good homes and helping get one back to good health. I've followed this thread all week and continuously try to upvote the original post every time you post an update. Good things are coming your way for your kindness.

Thanks man. It’s definitely been a handful to balance with school. Im behind in a couple classes actually. A ton of other posters have extended their thoughts and I haven’t had the ability to say thank you to all of them individually. When we found this litter, my wife called me crying. I knew it would be a headache but it was the right thing to do, so we skipped our traditional Sunday dinner at my grandma’s. I drove down to pick them up, and immediately felt sorry for these guys and a strong disdain for the type of area I live in. The mentality towards dogs is so nonchalant, and I can’t help but to give a shite. We scooped them up and began adopting them out without thought of parvo (which I kind of feel bad for) but then again they needed a caring home. So far, 5 have made it and 4 had to be put down. I watched 2 of those 4 and it was heartbreaking. Even as a Marine with 2 deployments, it was hard to watch those guys go down before having a chance to live as pups.
When they gave me this pup’s chances as 50/50, I jumped on it. I said we’d take the fluids and administer the meds. I’m so happy she’s doing well. We’ve been forcefeeding her for almost 2 Days not knowing if it was doing any good. I’ve been shoving a needle in her back and listening to her whimper as we administer the fluid that’s supposed to keep her alive. She’s currently snuggled up next to me in my jacket. She’s been exploring and playing all afternoon. The Vet seemed surprised but said it was a great sign. She’s fighting hard, and I am optimistic that she will make it. We do have an adopter lined up, and it’s a poster here. The OT is baller as frick.

Oh thank you for rescuing them AND for your service. Marines are tougher than nails and if affected you as it did, I wouldn't have stood a chance. I'm so sorry you had to do that but thanks for not leaving them alone.
Since Hope is nice and warm snuggled up with you, STUDY BOY STUDY!!! And please extend the thank you to your wife -- I'd have called my husband crying as well.

You can’t tell him what to do.

I’d love to. She’s awesome but I promised her to another poster here. She’s been with us in spirit through everything so it’s only right to let the poster have her.
What we will do and I will organize personally is have all dogs meet up at a dog park someday and post pics of them playing.
