The fox comes into our yard and we feed it everyday, he doesn't harm anything.

All joking aside, if you're in BR check out the Facebook page Fox Finders. Some LSU researchers track and document their patterns, and people send in videos and pictures. You would be amazed how many live around here. They generally not carrying rabies. The last report of rabies in LA goes back decades, IIRC.
