This just shows you eBay is also a hit or miss.

I bought the race track back in Nov, sold it on eBay for $96 to someone with great feedback. They never paid, so I decided to wait until after Christmas to relist it.

It just sold (and paid for) for $160

Hell, if I don't have to pay, I'll buy it for $350!

There was no set price for anything. I made a huge pile and asked for a price. I got it all for $35

Have you ever boxed and shipped something
35”x24”x5”?

The box alone was $8

Antique, I've been waiting on you to post something again. I went to an estate sale by my house recently. Got some really nice antique pieces. On the last day, I saw some history books that caught my eye and they just gave them to me. Its a volume of around 32 books, biographies of key political figures called American Statesman.

Couple days after I got them, I looked them up and I found this on just the two Lincoln volumes.

Am I seeing this right? Did I accidentally get a steal?

I’ll give you 200 for the set

Note the used copies available.

What someone is asking for an item cannot be used as the measuring stick. You need to see what they sold for. Plus, books are very hard to value because of so many variants (condition, edition, etc)

Selling books for full value is a pain, a lot of work, and depends on happening upon the right buyer.

Much easier just to take a reasonable offer that presents itself!

I really have no intention on selling them. I'm just looking for something to brag about next time I see someone watching American Pickers

In that case claim the high price!

That was a score by the way, especially if it was free. Looks to be in great shape.

I’m guessing they didn’t print many editions of those, but who knows. They could have sold big orders to libraries etc.

Maybe the second copyright was for the second edition printing. I would think first edition would have one copyright.

<- not an expert, clearly.
