LAPD drives minivans now?

Hope I’m not wrong, but I’d guess the term ‘active shooter’ is going to get thrown around everytime an idiot steps into a public place with a firearm
More catchy for the headlines
looks like i was right.. glad it sounds like nobody was hurt

Clear up rumors- NO active shooting at USC- someone thought they heard gunfire and called police. So far, all clear and campus is safe.
People are on edge today.

Scruffy is gonna lean towards an overreaction to a loud noise.

How does someone "accidentally" think they hear gunshots?

I'm now hearing it's not an active shooter too.
The police presence and 5 helicopters is insane.

Yep. Looks like a false alarm

This isn't the first or last time this will happen.

Props to the kid on the periscope feed. He is making an effort to be a lot more accurate that most MSM. Some people "think they heard gun shots", but no one around can confirm.

In fairness, loud noises are scary.

I'm pretty sure that happened recently at the OLOL
Yep. Here.
OLOL active shooter scare
I've been in a classroom or building and a slamming door scared the shite out of us. But not enough to confuse with gunfire.

Despite the apparent chaos, hospital officials say the scene was under control in less than 15 minutes. Baton Rouge Police said a slamming door seemed to be the source of the false alarm. Now, the Lake is examining that frightening moment.

At one point he said he saw people crying, but didn't want to speculate as to why they were crying because he couldn't confirm anything. Dude was pretty solid.

I am hearing from a USC student that a teacher had a nervous breakdown and yelled "Active shooter!" and that's how it started. She is in custody.
