No it’s was 1st degree murder.
They didn’t deny planning it and carrying it out.
They are not judge jury and executioner. Well in this case they were but that’s not how the law was meant to work.
The US judicial system is fuked 6 ways to Sunday and needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom.

They were both adults when they killed their parents. If things were bad, they could have moved out. But then they'd have been poor, so they chose to kill and stay wealthy that way. No sympathy.

We live in the most fun timeline, don’t we folks?

Frick that. All kid rapists should be shot.
Yeah, I don’t think the Menendez brothers will do this again and their parents deserved to die. They got thirty years for it, so I think they’ve served their sentence.

Was there ever a question as to this decision in that shite stain of a state…..

For all of those who say “they could have just moved out”….
It’s not that simple. Their dad was a very powerful man who was well connected. They probably don’t know anyone who is not under their dad’s influence.
If he was abusing them for decades and threatening them with their lives -> their only response would be to try and eliminate the threat.
Kids who are sexually abused for decades are not immediately logical when they are young adults.

That tends to be when they’re at their most unstable, because when they think it through they realize that they now have the power to stop the abuser and make him pay.

they did, after methodically planning it out, and afterward they were so relieved and liberated they went on a big partying and spending binge, doubt a shrink would see it their way if called as an expert witness

I mean, it was dumb what they did, but if you eliminate your abuser and archenemy, you’re going to want to party your arse off too.

What they went through was very bad.. however they could have found some kind of help. Esp being adults at the time. The were not crazy enough to where they could not realize right from wrong. This was all about money… murder is s murder.

I mean, it’s what I would WANT to do if I eliminated my arch nemesis, and no it’s no one on this board.

lots of shite going on in those baws brains, take away the greed angle, which btw, was their motivation, it's your parents, your whole life up to that point has been in that family, good, bad, ugly, there has to be some sort of Stockholm syndrome but on the other hand you want it to stop, and/or if it has stopped you want retribution, this is giving those two shits the benefit of the doubt but I doubt the last thing they'd want to do after that gruesome double murder would be to party

you sure about that?

The entire situation is tragic.
But I wonder why the DA is even concerned with this case. A judgement was made, they were sent to prison, Justice was served.
If this DA gets a resentencing hearing and these two are freed will this open the gate for other criminals to use in order to get out of the Pen ?
Is this the ulterior plan ?

Agree. It’s not as if they will walk away scot free; they’ve spent the 30 years in prison.

True, but they would also live the rest of their lives with more money than 99% of this board will ever have due to book deals, documentaries, interviews, etc.
