In this political climate, don't see how private schools stay open while public schools close.

I have no clue why anyone downvoted you... no way in hell private schools will stay open if public schools are closed... if that was the case they would have stayed open in March... the optics bad and it would take one child to get sick before a lawsuit closed the doors for them...

They couldn't then because of the whole stay at home order. In phase 2 schools can be open so as long as we don't move back to phase 1 or worse then private schools have no need to shut down.

He probably does, but it doesn't hurt him with it still being down.

I think everyone is appointed by Toya or other city officials so going against her seems like a good way to lose your job.

She's just a loony liberal. She's a pretty good ER DOCTOR. She is no way, shape or form qualified to be the lead on this pandemic because she knows how to set up a macro on a spreadsheet and that blows Latoya's mind.

I like when she lectured young people that 7 of their friends would die if they held a party with 100 people.

Forget transmission doesn't work that way, or that the CFR wasn't even 7, or that for those under 50 CFR was barely 1% at the time, and that IFR was proving to be way below .5% at the time.

It's all a fricking act. This entire administration is getting off with the constant attention. She's been a loser her entire life and now she's somebody. She was the weird kid from the weird family in high school.

This is a terrible idea. Why should the masses bail out failing public schools? Shouldn't the people who already go there put their time and money into it? Why put the blame on private school parents?

I never understand why people think the government can do anything better than private industry.

That waiver is worth as much as the paper it is printed on. You can't contract out of your own negligence. Assuming schools are taking basic saftey protocals no lawsuit would be successful.

Yes they will

Many reopened as soon as possible and any objective look at covid shows there's no reason at all to keep schools closed. Public schools and private schools operate very very differently.

Optics don't matter. It's a private school. If people are willing and able to send their kids there they should be open. Who gives a shite what someone not involved with the school thinks. And you can't sue a school every time a kid gets sick. That's insane. Just make any parent sign a waiver.
