Yea, it’s very strange. And it would explain though why her Instagram photos and video uploads don’t match up with the dates. Maybe she could only post them when had internet?
Many of the thru hikers and van lifers do their YT uploads at cafes and coffee shops days after the footage.

She was trying to "be a YouTuber". Without data, there's no way to save video and content when you're out in BFE with no WIFI. You drop one phone or break one camera, and you could lose hours of video. People who do that usually upload to the cloud to minimize that risk. Her not having data just doesn't make sense.
That's not even mentioning that she/they would be without GPS or possibly even maps when they were off the beaten path.

Why would a YouTuber not have a data plan? That seems counterintuitive to what she was trying to do for a living. I can see him not having it, but not her.
Data or no data its fairly hard to believe they would go days without internet, even out west. These two barely had their shite together, seems fairly hard to believe they basically went camping for days without going into a town. Even places like laundromats now have wifi.

People that don’t drink still go to bars sometimes, especially if it’s a small town with not many other options for night time entertainment
Yep got a buddy that plays pool in leagues and sits there drinking coke all night. He don't drink a drop and is in the bars more often than most drunks.

Here's an article about her activity on a camping app called Dyrt. Haven't had time to scroll all the way through.

The lesbian couple was last seen at the same bar that witnesses also saw Laundrie and Petito.
Where is this information coming from? I still haven't found it anywhere. The only thing I see is that the Lesbian couple was last spotted at that bar. There's nothing about BL or GP being there, other than chatter in this thread.

Uh, yes you can.
I'd be amazed if these two could go without a plan just for using google maps. Most kids today are clueless when it comes to paper maps.

Yea it’s crazy to me how they are doing all this “bare minimum” type stuff, but Brian seems to be made of cash. Flying back and forth from Florida and staying in hotels cost money. The parents had to be paying for it if the couple couldn’t afford the storage unit.
This is more unsubstantiated speculation but...
If they were fighting in the car to the point that she was hitting him and still emotional when the police stopped them? Then he might have used the storage unit as an excuse to get away from the crazy situation for a few days. The mother's texts with the daughter (while he was gone) would shed light on that possibility.
If (after he returns) the missing woman was legit going between crazy angry (let's break it off) and wanting to still date then they could have had a fight which escalated to violence (and her death at his hands) or she could have become unhinged enough to kill herself

Their last activity was in July.

It is all hardware-based. I mean you won't have it backed up.

There's been nothing official that they were seen together at that bar, just that both couples had gone to that bar in the same short period of time. Nothing even suggesting they were both there at the same time.
And again as has been stated Moab is a very small community with few options, if you wanted a drink there's a decent chance you ran into someone else that wanted a drink that night.

What is the source of that information?

Unless they have a computer or hardrive to back up.
None the less, the chances of this girl going days without data or internet is almost 0. She doesn't look like the type in any of her photos to go off the grid completely like that. I have a hard time believing they were using paper maps and shite to find their way around.

When would the police have enough evidence to press charges? Say there is no sign of a crime after they go through the van, and they can't find any incriminating evidence on CCTV, phones, witnesses etc. If nothing incriminating surfaces, they can't really charge him, right?
You cannot press charges without probable cause.
What is tricky with this case is that, at this time, all the police have to work with is a missing person under suspicious circumstances. However, adults are allowed to go missing. It's not against the law to disappear. So, without a body, they really cannot charge him with anything.

Do take into consideration their van has something similar if not the same as this for basic Nav

I read it and have camped in a lot of the areas she had logged. The only part that doesn’t make sense is the ‘crater to Teton’ stretch. You wouldn’t leave southern Utah, go all the way up to Crater Lake and then back down to Teton if you’re planning on going up to Yellowstone and leaving out the West entrance. You’d just go a southern Utah to Teton, up through Yellowstone, then swing by Crater Lake.

That shitty little van won't have a nav system built in.
However, a 100 buck garmin would make sense cause I can't see these 2 using paper maps.
