It’s quite amazing to me.

It’s made me realize if you want to murder someone you do it on vacation while out of state. Do it before they are supposed to be home for a couple days so they go ‘missing’. Do it somewhere they could be anywhere in a large area. Return home after a ‘fight’, haven’t seen them in days and pissed off sorry haven’t talked to them.

If the heat is on, make a plan, liquidate assets quietly, and disappear before there’s a warrant out.

It’s actually a very basic but almost flawless idea. This fricker is going to do something incredibly dumb when he is bored to get caught.

I don’t think the Mexico theory makes much sense. It would be extremely risky and too complicated.

Not only that..but if you also have police video evidence of the person you kill on camera admitting to attacking you, you may also claim self defense.

If he was smart, he would have just said she wouldn't stop attacking him and came at him with a weapon.

Agreed. And if it doesn’t make national news - even better

Lol, yeah yeah.

It’s just amazing people act like the government is tracking your every movement but this guy goes off the grid with relative ease.

Very true - but they were able to trace a debit/credit card he used - which gave them the warrant

Brian’s phone wasn’t on a network (IIRC) and he’s not posting on social media rn anyway

So if he has no cards & no phone - it’s pretty easy to fall off

Are people really thinking that if you're working a plan to help someone disappear that the plan would center around a state park (or other regulated entry park) to do so? Why go to a campground that has a check-in/check-out and payment system that creates a paper trail? You can drive down any logging road or other backwoods area that has no monitoring or surveillance, set up camp, stay a few days, execute your plan, and no one would be none the wiser.

Sure, there is a slight trespassing risk, but it can be reasoned as an acceptable risk when you know your other options will undeniably put you at that area.

When you factor in that many van life people have experience doing just that because it is a hell of alot cheaper than other options, it just doesn't seem like a reasonable expectation that they would go the pay-to-camp route with so much riding on it.

If you're planning it, a burner phone and a few Visa gift cards could get a person a long way.

its a possibility they did this on purpose to throw people like dog off.

They had prep time to plan. Dad may be low key smart.

That would at least make sense. The campground they ultimately chose for their ruse wouldn't likely hold evidence of any value, though, if that were the case.

Drones are scary for people trying to lay low on islands or camping areas.

The helicopter that looked for him last night used infrared. I wonder if he wades out 25' and lays down in the water if it would even read him.
