Reddit is buzzing with homicide detectives on the scene at a walmart in Mobile. Allegedly there was a "sighting" of someone that looked like BL there. Probably nothing but who knows

They're just mixing up BWS and potential manipulation scenarios.
That variable of BWS is along the lines of: "he hit me because I talked back to him." They accept responsibility for the abuse upon them and blame themselves for making their partner become abusive.
The theory of the Youtube comments section is that he is a master manipulator who pushed her buttons so that she would abuse him. So her taking responsibility for that abuse (that she committed and was not the victom of) is the same scenario. It's not.
Is their scenario possible? Yes. But it's not really BWS. It's a different exercise of co-dependent behavior.
It also doesn't make sense, but that's for another discussion tree.

I don't know why a local homicide detective would be intervening in what appears to be a federal investigation.
