There’s obviously a chance that other scenarios happened. The most obvious one is murder. No one can refute that based on what we know.

A couple of days ago the police spokesman said that to his knowledge they were searching the park just because the parents thought that's where he could be.
The spokesman also said they were in the process of getting cellphone ping data but as of a couple of days ago didn't have it yet.
Maybe they've gotten the ping data since.
