What kind of moron doesn't count their change if the cashier doesn't?

Sounds like you're a dumb frick for not counting your change and trusting someone that works a cash register to correctly count it.

When I pull out the change I see I’m shorted so I call the store and let them know and I can swing by and pick it up. After they check the cameras they say that I was given the correct amount of change.

Sure they were deep in the footage checking the count of that one.

If you left the store without checking your change, you deserved to be shorted

You don’t deserve a penny

They know exactly how much should be in the register based on the transactions that occurred that shift. Unless somebody is blatantly trying to steal from you, they shouldn’t be wrong.

At the places I shop the cashiers count the drawer, and check if it balances at the end of their shift, if it’s over the money is probably going into their pocket.

Well, it’s not like you’re walking out of an Arkansas grocery with hogshead cheese and andouille

haven’t found proper andouille yet but I may have a lead on head cheese. As far as boudin goes, my dad made his first batch this weekend. It was comparable to Billy’s but not Best Stop good

So you go into a store on Sunday evening and throw down a hundred dollar bill?
I'm glad you got short-changed. They should have kicked you in the nuts, too.

You should have counted it before you put it in your pocket Not sure there is anything they can do unless you call tomorrow to see if they found it when they balanced the register at closing

Oh, it balanced. That extra 10 spot went straight into the cashier’s pocket.

What special place do you live that doesn't accept currency in denominations larger than $20?

Plenty cashiers just can't do math. Like 20% of the time my cashier at a grocery store has to use a calculator just to make sure.
