They said that two days ago
The NOPD released info to the media this morning saying red was attacked for "no apparent reason" as "he was walking down the street minding his own business"
If the family was telling the truth, the investigators would have had this info already....

the nopd let the family know this
The NOPD then decides to release to the media the attack happened for no reason as red was minding his own business walking down the street
The NOPD will then later come out, with info they have been having since before the earlier report, and contradict what was earlier released by them and say red intervened to stop the beating
That is what you are saying correct?

I see a lot of this when someone tries to cliff note the thread, but I really haven't seen a lot of that actually in the thread. I see some folks w personal knowledge of the perp basically saying it is hard to fathom him doing this. All the quoted type of stuff is mostly in response to questions asking them to provide a theoretical explanation as to how the perp could have killed the victim while being something less than a TPOS. Then, a scenario is put forth, generally with a caveat of ' I don't really believe that this happened'.
Then argument ad nauseum ensues with one side saying 'that isn't what happened and you are only saying it cuz he's white' and the other side saying ' well, you asked me how a guy could kick an old man to death and have it be justified, here is a reason.'
You know, like most arguments about race or politics. People talking about different things on each side.

This is a clear tangent but humans detect patterns. Where people of higher intellect can detect patterns of more intricacy.
If a movie theatre is shot up, I automatically assume it’s by a white male. If someone is mugged in New Orleans, I automatically assume it’s by a black male.
Does that make me racist? I don’t think so.
Do patterns always hold true? No they don’t.
