BBC has a good site, but the feel good part is currently at the end with a video about the volunteers. Very close to being a must watch.

Reports are saying that the rescue ops have started again. Hopefully we wake up tomorrow with good news like we did this morning.

Brings back memories of Katrina. Over 1500 fatalities in LA alone.

But just from what's been reported about him, I would doubt that he would have willingly gone in the first set. I'm betting he'll be the last of the 13 stranded to come out.

Perhaps a diver stayed back with the rest of the team?

An Australian Dr. and Thai SEALS have stayed with them. I doubt they would give him the choice because if he got worse getting him out could endanger rescuers.

CBS site also says Thai media report that the coach was among the first because he was the weakest having given his food and water to the boys.

In response to questions earlier (a page or two)

Specific times appeared in an article about the British Divers on the Daily Mail.
quote:

The first boy made it out at 5.31pm (11.31am UK time), and at 7.47pm (1.47pm) the Thai navy SEALS announced: ‘Fourth Wild Boar out of the cave!’ The youngsters were assessed by medics at the cave entrance before being taken to hospital.

Endangering the lives of a team of boys and going in a cave that he wasn't supposed to go in.

The cave is frequented by tourists and locals, kids routinely do what they did with no problem. They chose a bad day when monsoon rains showed up a month early.

I truly don't know why this board has a hard on for the coach.

Because he gave up some of his food for them? Um, he probably should feel a bit guilty..

And now he was among the first saved because he was weaker from not as much food? If he was really as great as made out to be wouldn't he be a man and make sure all kids get back first.. He put them in that position.. regardless if by negligence, he is still responsible for all their safety.

I'm not even hating on the man, but I just don't get the praise for him doing some of things he should be doing.. And then giving him credit because the kids kept their spirits up? They are kids.. and again he should keep things calm. It's his responsible. Good on him for doing his responsibility under such conditions though. I can agree to that. Had he been the last to leave then I would absolutely have some over-the-top praise.
