Why do you think anyone lives in Houston? It's socialization as brought to you by IG, eVite, and people desperate to fit in, while needing you for something. Some Asian cultures (DFW, Sugarland, lol) are housewarming gift bringers, and if they had lived around that type before, and think they lived around them now, it sort of seemed gauche, but just an error. BUT, I also wouldn't serve hamburgers and hot dogs if I thought that was the crowd I was bringing in. I wouldn't have invited anyone.
