Update - Happy groundhog's day! The greatest holiday of the year.

Every family has those little strange family traditions. Well, today is the day we celebrate ours.
Ever since I was a kid, we would celebrate groundhog's day over dinner with a groundhog shaped meatloaf.
It is a tradition that I have since carried into adulthood.
Here are the last few years groundhogs:
The ground hog of 2014 fell Superbowl Sunday, so we had a Manning themed meatloaf.
The groundhog of 2015 was a pirate. Please notice the meat hook hand and peg leg.
Last year's groundhog was Mardi gras themed. Notice the groundhog boobies, beads, and hand grenade.
The 2017 groundhog will be one for the books. This tradition has quickly turned this holiday into one of my wife's favorites too. In fact, she marked it on our calendar as "holiday of the gods."
Update:
ere is tonight's meatloaf.
The theme started as king cake baby, but ended up as newborn baby. Please note the mushroom umbilical stub, pepperoni diaper rash, and bell pepper rattle.
Happy Groundhog's day everyone!

I remember my 6th grade English teacher loving Groundhog's day. How do we celebrate if winter never started?

Agree to disagree. That glorious animal deserves its own day.

And the least important fact of the day, Phil saw his shadow.

What an idiot.
Phil, not you.
Phil, not you.

Don't cook angry.

I liked the story 100% better the way I described it.

Our local groundhog, Chattanooga Chuck, predicted an early spring.
These rats need to communicate a little before their performance.

do you ever have deja vu, Mrs. Lancaster?
I don't think so, but I could check with the kitchen.

they showed the puxy thing live this morning.. they have to drag the thing out of his house for this "tradition". "phil is screaming" well yeah, you're dragging him out of his house early in the morning into the freezing cold. You expect him to be happy about that?

Only having to work one day a year for 10 minutes? Being a national treasure?
