As a father of some boys that occasionally play "up" in travel ball tournaments to get ready for their season, these people are fricking looney tunes. Batshit crazy people. I don't know how they keep umpires employed.
They asked one of my sons to join a team and they laid out the schedule for the year and I just laughed. My son said he wanted to play soccer, football, basketball, cross country, and golf too and made the easy decision of "no thanks". The once a year/one season baseball team for him is enough.

Those teams do tend to destroy ours though
They all look at least a year or two older than they should be.
