Can one work theirselves out of poverty, sure.
You’ve got about a 98% chance of not being in poverty by finishing high school, working full time, and waiting until 21 to start a family.

You’re absolutely correct. Who you’re born to is a huge factor.
Graduate high school, get a job, don't commit crimes, don't have children out of wedlock. Those simple steps just about guarantee that you won't live your life in poverty

U2 is full of shite.
Beer is awful.
The NFL has become boring on the rare occasions I am with someone who watches.

I was pointing out that luck does not play as large a role as you suggest in individuals' wealth, whether it's billions or tens of thousands.
People wanna believe that guys like Bill Gates started from the bottom. Bill Gates’ father was incredibly wealthy.

I’ll agree to respectfully disagree. And this is not people belittle who have taken advantage of their situation. They’d be stupid not to. I’m just saying situationism & randomness plays an enormous part in society in general.

Speaking of college - I hear a lot about "everyone doesn't have to go to college," which is true, but that attitude seems to be for "other people's kids."

Most of the inflation we are fighting was caused by the initial Covid money passed out during Trump's presidency.
I am no fan of democrats or biden but..... they get to own everything else. It also makes me laugh to see sleepy Joe blamed for the inflation.

Olivia Dunne is just a dime-a-dozen attention whore.
People who post Christian stuff this weekend only need to quit seeking attention and go to church every week, not just Easter.

Well he did pump a massive stimulus package into an economy already recovering from Covid. Trump would have done it too though. There are no fiscal conservatives anymore.

There is no magic button in the Oval Office that says press here to:
1. adjust inflation
2. Improve the economy
3. Lower the employment rate

No but we should lower spending to below what we take in. We won't do it though and eventually the entire thing will collapse.
We have enjoyed the benefits of being the world's reserve currency for a long time but that could end.
In modern times, Americans seem to act like empires don't end. They always do, and we are an example of a declining one. Inflation and runaway spending have taken down many of them - Rome being a prime example.

It is also true that abortion is murder.

Something like the Holocaust will happen again and sooner than anyone thinks.
Just not sure what group of people will be targeted.

Willie has spent the last 25 years speaking his lyrics rather than singing and being popular because he’s a stoner.

There is a tremendous difference between avoiding poverty and being wealthy.

the poverty line is very, very low and doesn't mean much imo. you can be well above the poverty line and still be screwed by a $1,000 emergency or medical issue.
