Do not need more schools, it should have died.
The state could handle needs with 5 to 6

UNO is not really that diverse. It's diverse on paper but socially and culturally it's a HBCU. Look at the cheer team and their SGA team ...
UNO was once a respected state institution but now it's a joke

I wish they were able to keep their previous branding. They could've kept the old UNO brand ... they didn't need to do a full rebrand

LSU is headed in this direction.
When they still have not posted common data set for fall 2025 freshman or the Spring 2026 enrollment at a glance numbers you can bet the % of the new fall 2025 freshman submitting ACTs dropped even lower and the demographics of the undergraduates on campus in the Spring got less white than the fall numbers were.
That increase in application submissions for this fall is likely to be mostly made up of blacks hoping to get scholarships based on inflated grades while ACTs still not required for anyone. This class is still basically Tate’s with a lot offers placed before new leaders started.
LSU had done irreparable damage removing ACT all those years. That created a negative repuation that's hard to shake off with simply reimplementing the ACT. LSU is gonna be forced to cater to a problematic student body to keep their numbers up and university running. But it's gonna be disguised as DEI and equity
