Like I said, Tinder has changed all that. Even if you hooked up with a random back in the day, you knew someone who knew them or had mutual friends. Basically, you could be relatively assured that they weren’t a 40 year old convicted sexual predator.

I can't believe "victim blaming" is even a supposed taboo subject. It is an inarguable fact that the victim is VERY OFTEN to blame for putting themselves in that situation. Evil people are in the world, and it is everyone's job to avoid them.
This appears to be of those times.
