Going in a few weeks. Anyone gone yet. Anything good or suck this year? Did anyone do the new 3-D separate haunted house where the blue man group normally is located? Curious if it is any good.

Flying back today actually. This is my third year going and it was easily my favorite. Of the 9 houses the only one I didn't do was the new 3D one you are talking about. I had plans to knock it out in the very beginning but was repeatedly told it was weak. I recommend if you are already in the park then to wait back near Simpsons bc Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the 3D one open a bit earlier than the rest and you can hit them before the park opens. I skipped the 3D one and saw Halloween and The Tomb one right after TCM so I knocked out 3 houses before the gates for general admission even opened. Overall I would say TCM, Exorcist, Krampus and American horror Story were the best with American Horror Story being the winner. Walking Dead and Halloween were solid. The Tomb and Ghost Town were the two weakest. Actually the ghost town was pretty bad lol.

Houses were better, scare zones not as good as last year. We went through Exorcist first and they hadn't turned on ANY lights whatsoever. It was pitch black through most of it, which was pretty creepy. Did it again at the end of the night, not nearly as scary with the dim lighting. AHS was great and TWD ending was really good. We had a great time!

I hate HHN. The parks are packed with douchebags and the lines for the houses are unbearable. It's a good time to do rides though because those are empty.

Thinking of doing Orlando this time next year. How's the weather and crowds?

Doing 3/4 days at Disney and one at Universal.

Any tips are appreciated. Will be me, wife, and our 8 and 6 year old girls

Go in September when it starts if you want less crowds. The closer you get to Halloween, the worse the crowds get. Food and Wine makes the weekends bad at Epcot, don't go there on weekends.

Disney is hit or miss. Last year went in mid October and weather was maybe the hottest I've ever experienced when we got there but then very pleasant by end of trip... Basically like South Louisiana in October. Crowds on weekdays shouldn't be bad. Just be careful you don't go to magic Kingdom on day that it closes early for the Halloween party.

For those who can't go, you can go on YouTube and see full walkthroughs.

They may be a little young for Universal. Especially Halloween Horror. It tends to be a little more "adult". Faster rides, etc. HHN has shows that are very risque'. I don't know how brave your girls are, I would have loved it at that age, but in today's times...

I don't pay for admission to Universal. I get free tickets.

The crowds at HHN are also worse than non HHN. They are selling alcohol everywhere even in line for the houses. The douchebag Florida local teens and early 20s crowd shows up in force most HHN nights. The alcohol makes the douchebag crowd 100x more annoying. It's not a really family friendly event.

Then why are you complaining about lines?

Subtle brag fail

I am telling him the realities of the event for someone that has never been.

We had never been a year ago and got FastPass. All houses, no problems. Maybe be more helpful.

So you have been once? Fastpass is not always a guarantee to get in a house quick. Some nights I have seen the line for the fast pass can get up to close to an hour on certain houses while the long lines will be 3 hours. That's why I recommend September time frame.

Thanks for the tips.

Yeah hope to have everything planned out by end of year.

Gonna skip Epcot(wife and I went last year when I had a conference there)

Thinking magic kingdom, animal kingdom, Hollywood studios and/or universal. I'm a huge star wars guy and so is my youngest.
