Thanks. When your kids are eight and nine you start at Mickey's not so scary Halloween and work your way up to horror nights. If it is anything like last year which is really pretty decent as horror nights begin to return to its roots it is essentially too intense for kids that age. ( unless their rough and ready boys or something) I would highly suggest you do Mickey's not so scary Halloween. They give out lots of candy and it's really a fun event. It used to be the highlight of our Halloween of waiting for the headless Horseman to come out leading the parade. It is a separate ticketed event and used to be a good way to see the park after dark and not that crowded but it's got a got an excessively crowded the last couple of years .

Just like Universal you can generally stay in the park and just show your pass unless they change things just ask someone if it's still the same you need to be on around Cinderella's Castle during the transition . Kids can wear costume so if you just took the costume to the park put in the lockers are you can you can change there we would also Julie try to eat somewhere in the park about late afternoon around the transition. And then when u came out after eating you could go right into Mickey's not so scary.

Hopefully they have the kettle corn all the freshly made caramel popcorn again if so be sure to get that it's about one of the few edible things at Disney. And go ahead and buy the stupid Mickey ears pumpkins for the kids to put the candy and you can use them again for trick-or-treat. If u can book the crystal palace about 5 0r 6 should be golden.

I took the kids to that event just about every year until they were 12 or so. We always got a baby sitter and went one night for adult Halloween at horror nights.

Have fun take lots of pictures and bring suntan lotion, 2 way radios, and xanax. Lol
