This. The constant insistence that someone is racist without knowing their intent says a lot more about the "offended" than it does about the person they are trying to slander.
Those kinds of accusations are based entirely on their own prejudice and stereotypes. Add in a significant amount of immaturity and unwillingness to subdue their emotional response to anything that upsets them and you have the constant barrage "micro aggression" and "racist" accusations.

I went to an HBCU for undergrad. It can be alienating to be the only white guy in the crowd, but I got over it. Americans, white, black, liberal, conservative and whatever, just love to complain. Makes people feel special to have a burden I guess.

I consider myself progressive on race issues, but this is lunacy. Microaggessions? If they are micro, get the frick over them.
Everyone experiences microaggressions every day. And, I hate to sound like a certain conservative poster here, but I imagine that man that was beaten by the group of black teens (posted yesterday, not by me) was the recipient of something more than a microaggression.
I swear, participating in this board is turning me into a redneck.

I'd like to apologize all realistic members of society on behalf of my alma mater for this "research." Apparently U of I has gotten somehow more PC from my days there, where I learned in Freshman orientation that I was a misogynistic rapist until proven otherwise.

It isn't a race issue, it is a income issue. Not all, but many rich people look down on poor people regardless of what color skin they have.
Gated communities with their own schools have pretty much taken care of segregating them from others. I pay more per month for my property taxes than I do on my mortgage, which lets my family live in an area with little crime and great schools.
