That he paid to be on. Their employees can fly for free on the next flight that has room.

If you're correct, then united will continue standing it's ground and the guy will lose and get nothing. That's what you believe the outcome will be, right?
No, and I've never even implied that.
United will settle this because it makes sense for them financially. That doesn't mean it isn't bullshite.

With terms and conditions that he agreed to. Paying for a seat doesn't give him control of the plane.

the SJW in this thread are coming out in forces

Yeah, because less competition in the industry will ultimately help the market, right?

I don't think you know what implied means.

Literally nothing United has done up to this point has made sense for them financially in this situation. Why are they going to start caring about that now?

And he will get paid, and they won't. Lesson learned boys.

This story has turned everyone into lunatics.
It's so interesting to watch.
The same people that typically defend the rights of owners are losing their minds over United handling their aircraft, how they wanted, and within their policies.

He should sue the assclown that filmed it. If it doesn't get filmed then he would have no significant injuries. I agree his reputation has been injured but not $1 billion.

frick that whiny bitch. He should have just gottwn off the plan like an adult. United was wrong, but it's their plane. I'm tired of people feeling entitled to just get their way all the time.
Put yourself in that situation... You have to go work the next morning to see clients, you're next to your wife or girlfriend, assuming you have one, and she doesn't have to get off... Which put things in a bad situation as well.. So she has to get off...
Frick that, I hope United pays through their arse...

His reputation was already injured when he lost his medical license for 10 years because he sold pills to his gay lover.

Truth. I'm surprised to see so many defend this dude.

Because they're capable of looking at charts...
Not difficult.

I predict a lot of informed opinions in this thread.

United was a dick. Passenger was a dick. United has more money. Enter the lawyer. But, united handled this poorly from top down to flight crew. Arrogance has its price.

No it didn't.

You continue to completely oversimplify the situation. And continue to state they were completely within their rights to handle the situation as they did, even though multiple lawyers that specialize in this sort of thing say otherwise.
Once again, given how they've handled this situation thus far, if united is really as in the clear as you keep insisting they are they will not settle, take this to court, and win big. So what are you worried about?
