re: United 23 - fifth plane on 9/11? (Beware, long read)

I’ve long wondered if flight 93 wasn’t shot down into that field before it could hit the White House, and that they sold us the story of the heros who crashed it because it was easier for us to stomach than the grim reality of our own government shooting passenger airplanes out of the sky.
Not saying that wouldn’t have been the right call if true.

Believe I've read that Cheney gave the okay to shoot it down however we didn't have any armed planes nearby or something.

I've been very interested in the early 2000's historically lately, I'm 30 so I still remember a lot of the events but was a kid so I didn't soak a lot of it in.
Was a very interesting time with the 2000 presidential election, 9/11, War on Terror, Katrina, the financial crisis, rise of the smartphone, etc

I remember the documentary and it was unconvincing to say the least
I don't remember in detail but the documentary didn't even have eye witness testimony of certain sketchy events just people repeating what they were told by other people some of which also were just repeating what others had told them

This documentary was mostly based on the actual flight crew themselves.
They had the pilot, two flight attendants, and the purser tell their stories. The copilot has died but was very outspoken about this as well.

I love it when people go the whole "they weren't all planes" route
That would mean they had the ability to use actual planes on the WTC but for whatever reason chose not to for the other two (or just pentagon) for some bizarre reason opening themselves up to the massive possibility of the whole thing getting exposed
How would you explain that? We the planes that hit the WTC not real? What about the aircraft parts found at the pentagon?

Couldn’t someone subpoena the FBI files from this? Or did they try and met with “sorry, confidential until 2090”?

Shot down.. like with an air to air missile? That would have scattered aircraft and small missile parts over a large area, even if most of the plane went down largely intact. No witnesses of smoke in the sky. No witnesses of anything, whatsoever. Good weather too.
