This. I wore an undershirt for the first 20 ish years of my life. I haven't worn one in the past 8 or so.

You do realize you have to apply non aluminum deodorant numerous times a day, right? I'd rather not carry that around.

Undershirts only when wearing a tie.

If you are opening that top button to show of your fruit of the loom T-shirt where a manly chest should instead lie, then you have forgotten the face of your father.

Unless you are Barry Gibb, any adult male should always wear an undershirt as a first layer for anything more than beach/resort/golf wear.

This is demonstrably false in pretty much every setting you'll find successful adult males

Yes - Dress shirts

No - Everything else

Your wife probably shops for your clothes.

I do not, but you could use baking soda and not have to worry about that, stinking, or the deodorant stains.

V neck. Stops sweat stains and nip showings, but doesn't have the goofy undershirt look.

This right here. I laughed at those old Bacon Neck ads that MJ did. The real commercial should have been about the V neck. Doesn't matter if it gets wrinkled over time. Hanes has some X Temp shirts that keep you cooler as well. I bought a 3 pack a few years ago, and in July and August I can tell the difference if I grabbed the wrong one out of the drawer.

still amazed at how much attention guys here pay to the way another guy dresses.

To be fair, the OP is only asking whether people wear one or not - He's not offering commentary one way or the other.

As for the rest of the replies, well, it's to be expected around here.

i wear a white t-shirt under every shirt i wear.

That defeats the purpose of wearing under armor polos.

Not everyone here lives on a farm or in a trailer. Many here have office jobs, or engage in social situations where proper attire and fashion are important.

Now that we have covered how to wear or not wear undershirts, what's the OT's take on flip flops with jeans? I would like the opinion of the true fashionistas here.

It never occurred to me that men didn't wear undershirts under polos. Is this an age thing? Every man I've been in a relationship with (all two of them) has worn undershirts with button downs & polos. 100% of the time. Both are mid-40s.
