As myself. Have family in Webster and also in NOLA. I prefer NOLA anyday. Besides the arch and Busch Stadium...St. Louis has nothing to offer...unless you like shitty ravioli, shitty pizza on a cracker crust, or shitty custard ice cream from Ted Drews, then it is for you.

Don't get me wrong, New Orleans ain't my favorite either, but at least is has culture

including the heart of the shithole St Louis County
The heart of St Louis County is Clayton and is one if the nicest urban centers I've ever set foot in, including New Orleans, Houston, Chicago, etc. It is small, but vibrant.
St Louis County itself is comprised of something like a hundred municipalities. I'm sure that figure is wrong, but it is a lot. Some of those municipalities are great, some are good, some are terrible. If you're dealing largely with North county, then you don't have an accurate picture of St Louis as that is, and has been for years, a depressed area of St Louis. That would be like comparing Chesterfield to the 9th Ward. If you're dealing with Clayton... Then I simply don't believe you.

You really need to get around and see other places then. One of the nicest urban centers?

Little different
O you're right. So if it does happen, will the sick fricks on here who think "good riddance" be as empathetic and generous of their time and efforts to St Louis as those of us on here like myself was to New Orleans, the city that prior to Katrina was considered one of the worst cities in the US as far as crime, poverty, and blight was concerned and after Katrina was condemned by many as having brought the disaster upon itself?
Or will they continue to say "good riddance"?
If a hurricane was boiling off the coast of Louisiana and it looked like it could wipe out New Orleans, and I said "good riddance, that place is a shithole," I'd be vilified on here. But it's St Louis, this board's favorite whipping boy and it's a post by Mizzoukillz, who everyone loves to hate, so frick it let's all hide behind our keyboards and launch aspersions at a city over 2 million people call home.
frick you, too.

Yes. I've been all over the world and in major cities in the US. Downtown Clayton is gorgeous.
ETA: it really doesn't matter how nice the place is anyway. It could be Bumfrick, Iowa. Still no reason to think, "Whelp! frick them! I've been to that city once in my life (maybe) and I could give a shite less if they die as a result of nuclear radiation poisoning." Bottom line is that the people on here are being hypocritical asshats. If the tables were turned, they'd all be crying about it happening to their city.

I care about as much as you all calling St. Louis a shithole when you have zero clue. Trolls trolling trolls...right? See how it's done?
Actually I didn't call st Louis a shithole.
Sorry you didn't like New Orleans. Though if IRL you're like this I can see why you didn't like it.
I actually liked St Louis when we went btw. The gateway to the west and the arch were pretty cool, and I thought the area by the river reminded me of New Orleans.
I'll say it again though, youre not going to make many friends on here by being a dick, calling people out over BS and generally being ignorant.
Good luck getting people concerned with your cause- St Louis is better than how you're representing it.

One of my contractors in MO just called and he was robbed at gunpoint at a house he was working on in St Louis this morning. Cops are there now but he is probably SOL. They took his phone, truck keys, and wallet with $400 cash in it but no MO isn't a shite hole where people get held up in broad daylight while trying to do their job.
