Detroit police officers performing an undercover operation in an east side neighborhood got into a huge fight — with each other.
Cops from the city's 12th Precinct were operating a "push off," where two undercover officers pose as drug dealers waiting for potential buyers. When someone approaches trying to buy drugs, the officers make an arrest and seize the person's vehicle.

Thursday's push off on Andover St. took a dramatic turn when two undercover officers with the 11th Precinct showed up.
The cops with the 12th Precinct assumed they were trying to buy drugs and ordered them to the ground, according to Fox 2.
When a special ops team with the 12th Precinct showed up to raid a home on Andover, a brawl erupted.

Instead of going after the criminals, the undercover cops started fighting each other.
Fox 2 reports that guns were drawn and punches were thrown. One officer had to be hospitalized.
The homeowner of the house being raided stood and watched the melee, the outlet reports.
The fight was reported to the department's top cops and Internal Affairs launched an investigation to find out what went wrong. One resident blamed the fight on lack of communication.

What's the point of this? And how is that even legal?
Go after the actual dealers. Arresting the buyers does nothing to solve the problem except ruin their lives and cost the taxpayers money in an already bloated legal system.

Detroit keep doing the same thing over and over again.

They get to seize the cars.
I once watched an episode of Cops where they were running a sting. They were arresting people for buying a little bit of marijuana and seizing their vehicles.
It was absolutely bonkers. Instead of just writing them a ticket for buying a little bit of weed, they were arresting them and taking their vehicles to auction.
